Latehar, Mar 16: A feeling of fear and panic gripped students after a group of 20-25 Maoists destroyed the boundary wall of a government run school in Latehar district of Jharkhand.
The students were attending their regular classes when suddenly a group of Maoists entered into a scuffle with the school authorities and broke the boundary wall which was being built.

“The work of making a school boundary wall was in progress, the president of the village education council sponsored the work. A group of around twenty to twenty five Maoists came on Tuesday around 4 and said ‘with whose permission are you making this wall, this is made so that the police can stay’ after saying all these things they hit the official and destroyed the boundary wall,” said Betha.
According to a source, the rebels broke the boundary wall as they feared that the security forces engaged in anti-Naxalite operations might use the school to camp.
