Abu Dhabi, March 15 (IANS/WAM) In a first of its kind, Abu Dhabi will host a festival to spread awareness among the people on how to take care of domesticated animals.
The Abu Dhabi Festival for Domesticated Animals kicks off Friday at Yas Island.
It is being organised by the National Animal Care Programme in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Police’s General Headquarters.
Through the event, the Abu Dhabi government aims to enlighten people and support voluntary work. Six government agencies and 40 exhibitors are taking part.
Waleed Mubarak Al Shakeeli, director general of the National Animal Care Programme, said: “We are proud to make the UAE community more aware about animal care.”
