Melbourne, Mar 10: Australian DJ Mel Greig, who is at the centre of the ill-fated royal radio prank, desperately wants to send a condolence letter to the family of nurse Jacintha Saldanha but has been reportedly banned from doing so.
A close friend said that it’s been really hard for Greig to move on as she hasn’t been able to tell the Saldanha family how sorry she is for their loss, which is really hard for her, News.com.au reported.
The friend asserted that Greig wanted to send a condolence letter to the family since this happened but Southern Cross Austereo management has blocked her from sending it which has upset her a lot.
Saldanha transferred a prank phone call from Greig and co-host Michael Christian, who were impersonating the Queen and Prince Charles, to the Duchess of Cambridge’s nurse on December 4 last year, when the pregnant royal was in a London hospital for severe morning sickness; three days later she committed suicide.
