Bangkok, August 18: One of Thailand’s top ranked universities, Kasetsart University, is under fire for asking its students to wear anti-cheating blinkers to curb cheating in exams.
The hue and cry started when a lecturer at KU’s Agro-Industry Faculty posted a photo, which showed students sitting for an exam while wearing the bizarre hat, on the university’s Facebook account.
Addressing the issue at a press conference, Nattadon Rungruangkitkrai, a lecturer at KU’s Agro-Industry Faculty, alleged that no student was forced to wear a hat and instead they were all happy to do so, the Bangkok Post reported.
Rungruangkitkrai asserted that it was the students themselves who suggested the paper hats.
Rungruangkitkrai said that it would be the first and last time the paper hats are used.
Some Facebook users had commented on the picture, saying it was humiliating and undignified. (ANI)
