Beirut, Sep 29: Five people were killed in eastern Lebanon following clashes between gunmen and Hezbollah in the country’s Bekaa city Saturday, Xinhua reported.
The clashes renewed late Saturday afternoon, killing one person and injuring more than five, a security source said.
Earlier in the day, three Hezbollah members and a passerby were killed in exchange of fire between the two sides, he added.
The clashes broke out when youths from the Shia clan opened fire at Hezbollah members in a market, leaving three people killed and two injured, the official National News Agency (NNA) said. It led to the army deployment in the area.
