London, Sep 13: The Duke of Cambridge has teamed up with retired footballer David Beckham in a bid to speak out against the illegal wildlife trade.
The Prince, Beckham and Yao Ming have spoken on behalf of WildAid in a bid to reduce the demand for rhino horns and ivory, making two public announcements which will air later this year as part of WildAid’s demand reduction campaign, the Daily Express reported.
The 31-year old prince revealed that he was almost brought to tears after watching footage of a rhino being attacked by poachers.
He added that wildlife is incredibly vulnerable and as a new parent, he feels protective and emotional about it.
Prince William is currently involved in a number of initiatives to expand his work in the field of conservation, particularly in respect of protecting endangered species and habitats. (ANI)
