London, Sep 23: Princess Diana’s death investigation is in trouble after Soldier N, the former SAS sergeant, went missing in action just days before he was to be interviewed as part of a new assessment of the evidence related with the 1997 crash.
Metropolitan Police spokesman said that they are currently scoping recent information regarding the deaths of Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed and the scoping exercise is not yet complete.
According to one source, Soldier N is a very important person related to the inquiry as he is the person who made the claims, the Daily Express reported.
The source said that the pressure on him has been mounting since the original story broke last month and that he is aware police wanted to interview him.
The insider asserted that no one can be sure why he has gone.
Soldier N’s estranged wife was the one who revealed that during a conversation in 2011, her husband had told her that Diana, 36, had been killed by the SAS.
The soldier further told her that the car crash in Paris was caused after an SAS hit team flashed a blinding light at Diana’s driver Henri Paul.
He also revealed about the existence of a shadowy unit, The Increment, within the SAS, which is used for the purpose of carrying out lethal operations on behalf of MI6. (ANI)
