Datia (MP), Oct 3: Atleast 50 people were feared killed in a stampede at Ratangarh temple in Madhya Pradesh’s Datia district on Sunday.
According to media reports, nearly 50 to 60 people are feared killed and over 100 injured in the stampede on the bridge over Sindh river leading to the Ratangarh temple following rumours by some unidentified persons that it was collapsing.
The devotees alleged that the police resorted to a mild lathicharge to control the crowd moving towards the temple, reports added.
Some of the devotees are feared to have fallen into the river.
