London, Nov 5: Tennis ace Andy Murray has revealed that he gets ulcers due to the pressure of being the country’s sole Wimbledon hope one week before the tournament.
According to the Daily Star, the Scot has admitted the huge weight of expectation on his shoulders causes him painful side effects.
In his new autobiography, Murray explains how he develops sores in the run-up to the Grand Slam tournament each year, the report said.
Murray said that the ulcers come on before the Championships every year, although he tries to block out all that the tournament means to him and to everyone else in the country.
He added that the ulcers tend to have disappeared by the time the event comes around, but they are a painful reminder of the time of year.
Murray is currently recovering from back surgery and hopes to be fit for January’s Australian Open, the report added. (ANI)
