Johannesburg, Dec 27: Arsenal has got their Premier League challenge back on track by winning 3-1 at West Ham United on Thursday away at Upton Park.
It was the seventh consecutive victory over their London rivals of Arsenal, which replaced Tomas Rosicky in midfield with Santi Cazorla, and the victory sent West Ham into the bottom three on the table.
According to Sport24, although Carlton Cole gave West Ham a surprise lead early in the second half, Theo Walcott scored twice for the visitors, followed by substitute Lukas Podolski’s goal in the 79th minute, as Arsenal ended a run of five games without victory in all competitions.
West Ham made four changes to the team beaten 3-1 by Manchester United, including the return from a three-match suspension of captain Kevin Nolan, while Carlton Cole, Joe Cole and Joey O’Brien started in the game, the report added. (ANI)
