Idris Elba more selective about roles after Nelson Mandela flick

London, Dec 5: Idris Elba has confessed that playing Nelson Mandela in a movie adaptation of the former South African President’s autobiography has made him more selective about his future roles.

The 41-year-old actor said that it is now hard to read a script that doesn’t have any of the qualities that the man had, the BBC reported.

He said that it’s quite interesting what the film has done to his taste in characters.

The biopic sees Elba gradually transform from the young idealistic lawyer Mandela was, to the elderly patriarch and statesman that he became. (ANI)
