There will be a film festival that will be held till Dec 27 and a shopping festival in Connaught Place from Dec 23 to Jan 8.
A food festival from Dec 23 to 29 will bring under one roof mouth watering cuisine from all parts of the country, Shrivastava said.
There will be a re-launch of Connaught Place — which has undergone major renovation. There will be a musical event Jan 2 and 3.
NDMC was born in 1913 as the Imperial Delhi Committee, two years after the British rulers move the capital from Kolkata to Delhi.
In 1916, it was re-named Raisina Municipal Committee. In 1925, it was upgraded as a 2nd Class municipality, under the Punjab Municipal Act.
NDMC presently covers 42.74 sq km of area, in the very heart of the national capital. It is one of the greenest urban hubs in the country, and is home to the virtual Who’s Who of India.
