Wellington, Jan 18: Ahead of their first ODI against India on Sunday, New Zealand spinner Nathan McCullum has said that they will play aggressive cricket against the No.1 team.
The first ODI will be played at Napier’s McLean Park. Indian team held their third net practice of the week on Friday, leaving New Zealand to make their intentions clear to produce some fireworks on the pitch.
McCullum knows that any lose performance from the Black Caps will allow the world’s best ODI side will pounce, Fairfax NZ News reports.
He said they are an aggressive bunch of players who play the game with intent, and added that they love the challenge and love the fight, and the beauty of the New Zealand team at the moment is they are up for the fight.
India is bookmakers’ favourites on a pitch that’s usually full of runs, and need to win the series to remain No.1 the world. A New Zealand series victory will see them inch up to seventh, and India concede top spot to Australia. (ANI)
