Indian held in Sharjah for smuggling gold

Dubai, Jan 11: An Indian was arrested at the Sharjah International Airport in the UAE for trying to smuggle an undeclared amount of gold to India, police said.

The suspect – identified as Gh.R.A – tried to evade the airport authorities by concealing 12 gold biscuits, weighing 699 gm, inside two bracelets, Gulf News quoted police as saying.
