Muslims celebrate Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi

New Delhi/Lucknow, Jan. 14: Muslims across the nation are celebrating the festival of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad, with religious fervour and gaiety.

A majority of mosques and other religious places have been decorated colourfully for the occasion.

A recitation of the Quran, the Naatiya Kalam, speeches and sermons has also been organised at various places.

Reports from Lucknow said that strict security arrangements have been made for the Madah-e-Sahaba procession which will be taken out in the old part of the city.

Similar processions on life and work of Prophet Mohammad will be taken out in other cities.

The holy relics of the Prophet will be taken out in Gorakhpur.

Faizabad has been divided in four zones and 12 sectors for security reasons.

Adequate police and para-military personnel have been deployed in the sensitive areas. (ANI)
