Melbourne, Feb. 20: An American scientist working at base camp McMurdo Station in Antarctica was stunned to find that dating app Tinder has found a match for him in the frozen continent.
According to New York magazine, the researcher said that he found the profile of a female scientist working at a remote camp about 45 minutes away by helicopter.
He swiped right on the woman’s profile, showing he was interested, and just moments later the pair had a match, News.com.au reported.
The scientist, who wishes to remain anonymous, said that she was actually in her tent in the Dry Valleys when they matched.
He said that the female researcher was quite literally camping in Antarctica, went on Tinder and found him.
They finally met a few weeks later, before she left Antarctica the following day, but the pair could get reunited when she returns on a research trip later this year. (ANI)
