Sydney, Feb.14: Injured Australian fast bowler Patrick Cummins has said that his target is to be ready to play for the country in next year’s World Cup.
He said that though he has suffered from a number of injuries after making his international debut, he is excited at the prospect of making it to the national squad for the World Cup that is to be staged in Australia and New Zealand.
He has described that feeling as incredible, and believes that for it to be held before packed crowds in Australia and New Zealand, has a lot of meaning.
Cummins told the Sydney Morning Herald that his target is to finish off the grade season with Penrith, have a big pre-season with New South Wales, gear up to play in the Sheffield Shield, and then, based on his performance, hope to play for Australia in the 2015 World Cup. (ANI)
