New Delhi, March 9,: Congress leader Satyavrat Chaturvedi on Sunday turned his glare on the opposition camp where senior Bharatiya Janata Party leaders have questioned the morality of their party inducting tainted leaders and parties into its fold. The Congress leader, agreed with the disapproval expressed by the saffron party leaders like Sushma Swaraj, Murli Manohar Joshi and Lal Krishna Advani who are apparently miffed with the party’s decision.
” Senior BJP leaders are rightly questioning the party leadership on the propriety of inducting corrupt leaders into its fold and giving them high posts. They are worried that the kind of people who are being inducted just for the sake of gaining power is highly uncalled for. Therefore, BJP’s talk on rooting out corruption from this nation now stands hollow with their latest action. These accusations are not merely leveled by the Congress but now are being backed by senior leaders from the BJP itself.” Chaturvedi said.
Sushma Swaraj on Thursday reportedly went public with her disapproval of moves to get B Sreeramulu and Venod Sharma into the NDA tent, betraying the unease in a section of the BJP over the party’s outreach to disparate ideologies and leaders in order to bulk up in numbers. (ANI)
