Mumbai, Mar.25: Veteran Bollywood actress Nanda, popularly known as ‘Baby Nanda’, passed away at her Andheri residence today. She was 75.
Nanda, who started her career as a child actor, had made debut as an actress in V. Shantaram’s ‘Toofan aur Diya’. She is best remembered for her work in ‘Teen Deviyaan’, Gumnaam, ‘Ram Laxman’, ‘Bandi’ and ‘Ittefaq’.
She had won a Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award for her role in film ‘Aanchal’. She was last seen ‘Prem Rog’ in 1983.
Though unmarried, she was engaged to celebrated director Manmohan Desai, who died in 1984.
The last rites of the yesteryear actress were performed at the Oshiwari crematorium today. (ANI)
