Facebook set to resume f8 developer conference after three-year break

Washington, March 9: Facebook will reportedly hold its next f8 event on April 30 at the San Francisco Design Concourse, reviving its one day annual f8 developer conference after a gap of three years.

Facebook intends to make the conference even more developer-focused than before, hinting that the event will be highly technical in nature.

According to Cnet, the tone will be radically different from Facebook’s previous f8 event, held in September 2011, where company CEO Mark Zuckerberg made splashy consumer announcements including its radical profile redo called Timeline and the now mostly defunct Ticker.

Meanwhile, F8 will apparently accommodate 1,500 developers, who will have to apply for a spot in order to attend the conference. (ANI)
