‘Anzac breast contest’ aborted after being called ‘disrespectful’

Melbourne, April 23: A plastic surgery clinic in Melbourne has dropped the Anzac Day competition, after it was slammed by Defence Force representatives as “disrespectful”.

The competition was earlier promoted by the clinic on social networking sites, asking women to rate their breasts in order to win tickets for annual Collingwood and Essendon AFL clash.

Real Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery, based in Moonee Ponds, said that this was not the intention of the offer and the campaign which had been seen by more than 200,000 people on Facebook had received a overwhelmingly positive response.

Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, Senator Michael Ronaldson demanded the competition, which was valued at 1369 dollars, to be immediately aborted, and said that the use of word ‘Anzac’ is granted by the Minister of the day and he would not have granted the company permission if they came to him. (ANI)
