Washington, Apr 15: Blackberry has reportedly come up with a set of Heartbleed updates for its BBM messenger.
According to Cnet, the updates are for two popular BlackBerry products, Secure Work Space corporate email and the BBM messaging program for Android and iOS.
The updates will apparently fix the security holes left by the OpenSSL flaw Heartbleed.
The engineer who contributed the code to OpenSSL resulting in Heartbleed said last week that the problem was “accidental” and not malicious as some parties have been claiming.
Heartbleed is considered as one of the most dangerous bugs to have ever plagued the Internet.
The hackers can use the bug to communicate with a server, steal large amounts of data- all without getting caught, the report added. (ANI)
