London, Apr 5: Mercedes ace Lewis Hamilton was the fastest racer during Friday’s practice run at the Bahrain Grand Prix as he headed teammate Nico Rosberg by 0.365 seconds in the night-time second session.
Hamilton, winner in Malaysia last weekend, kept Mercedes in the top position, with the Brackley-based team being a second clear of field while Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso was third from Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo.
According to the BBC, Felipe Massa-led Williams was fifth from McLaren’s Jenson Button and Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel, while just 0.3 seconds separated Alonso in third from Button’s teammate Kevin Magnussen, who was ninth behind Toro Rosso driver Daniil Kvyat.
The report mentioned that Force India’s Sergio Perez was 10th, ahead of Williams’ Valtteri Bottas, Toro Rosso’s Jean-Eric Vergne, Perez’s teammate Nico Hulkenberg and Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen, who was a second slower than his teammate, in 14th place. (ANI)
