New Delhi, Apr. 26: Union Law Minister Kapil Sibal on Saturday questioned the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for being myopic about their prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi’s close aide Amit Shah, who is a three time murder accused, and added that there is no Modi wave in the country, but only Modi slaves.
“Jaitley talks about the prime minister being myopic. I want to ask him, why he and his party is being Myopic about Amit Shah who is the prime evangelist so to say, and prime organizer of all his campaigns and has been accused in three time murder case,” said Sibal.
“The fact is that there is no Modi wave, perhaps some Modi slaves in the country. In Varanasi, the people have been rented to create a false wave. A huge amount of black money is being spent on his campaigns. Why is the party myopic about that?” he asked.
Why is he myopic about the fact that in Gujarat there is a cabinet minister who has been convicted and he continues to be there in the cabinet? Why is he myopic about the fact there is another cabinet minister against whom sanction to prosecute was sought and the CM denied it?” asked Sibal.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has laready dismissed rumors of there being a Modi, saying that this is a creation of the media, BJP leader Arun Jaitley yesterday said the prime minister may be “myopic” not to see the “support” for Modi.
“Manmohan Singh may be myopic not to see a Modi wave, that is, that he sees it, but can’t admit it,” said Jaitley. (ANI)
