Patna, Apr.18: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday said that once the party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is elected to power; the Nitish Kumar Government in Bihar would end.
The BJP’s candidate from Nawada Constituency, Giriraj Singh, described Kumar as being jealous of Modi’s popularity.
“Nitish Kumar is seeing unrealistic dreams. When the election results will come out on May 16, if Nitish Kumar will have some ethics, he will resign. And, his governance will come to an end. He shouldn’t give advice to BJP or be jealous of Modi’s popularity. If he retains votes in Nalanda, it will be his good luck but that won’t happen. Modi is becoming the Prime Minister and Kumar’s governance will come to an end,” said Singh.
Kumar, who was the railway minister in the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Government, broke his Janata Dal-United party’s 17-year-old electoral tie with the BJP after Modi was declared the latter’s prime ministerial candidate in 2013. (ANI)
