`Seething` Moyes `disgusted` with Man U over manner of sacking

London, Apr 23: Sacked Manchester United manager David Moyes is reportedly ‘furious and disgusted’ with the Old Trafford club over how they handled his axing.

The Scot, who was in charge at Old Trafford for only ten months, is angry with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and other club officials, who did not keep him informed of his fate.

According to the Mirror, Moyes was left in the dark about his imminent departure despite the news breaking on Twitter and subsequently flooding the Internet, and the unaware Scot worked on four deals for new players on the day it was made known he was departing.

Confident that he was safe and still had Woodward’s support, the report mentioned that Moyes pressed for an answer from Southampton about a 27 million-pound move for Luke Shaw, a deal for Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos and the futures of in-loan youngsters Wilfried Zaha and Nick Powell.

However, the report mentioned that the former Everton boss was disgusted after he found out how the defending Premier League champions had already decided to sack him without telling him, and sources said that Moyes was seething when he heard from Woodward.

Moyes is seen as having a strong sense of ethics, and refused to speak to Everton before they had sacked their then-boss Walter Smith, the report added. (ANI)
