Bhopal, Apr.6: Bharatiya Janata Party leader Uma Bharti on Sunday trashed all rumours which said that she would not be contesting from Jhansi as she had fallen ill.
“To say that because I am ill and hence, I am not contesting from Jhansi is a big lie and a conspiracy against the BJP, and on our prime ministerial candidate. There is no truth in it at all. I am not alleging that this has been created by the media, and it is up to the media to find out the truth and when I have filed my nomination and have already done two rallies how can even one think of such a thing. I am totally surprised as to how could the media heed to such rumours. There is nothing from the BJP. What I think is that, the UPA’s dirty trick department is involved in such rumours,” Bharti said.
“Whether I have a good health or bad it doesn’t matter to me. When my party has requested me to fight elections from Jhansi, , I am contesting it. I have already conveyed to my party that I am not keeping well with my health since the last three years and hence, I would not be able to go for hard work in this election. I am touched with the love of the people of Jhansi and my party workers who have said that they will campaign on my behalf . My appeal to all media houses is to only focus on how we could develop the country which has gone backwards and it could only be solved through Narendra Modi. Hence, do not listen to rumours and believe in them,” Bharti added.
Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti returned to her Shyamla Hills residence in Bhopal on Friday night from Orchha after falling ill while campaigning. Ms. Bharti is the BJP candidate from Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh. (ANI)
