London, May 5: Arsenal qualified for next year’s Champions League with a one nil win against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.
Arsene Wenger’s side booked their place in Europe’s elite club competition without kicking a ball, when fifth-placed Everton were beaten 3-2 by Manchester City on Saturday.
Olivier Giroud’s first-half header in Sunday’s encounter certified that eventuality as well as gave the side a feel good factor with a fourth successive EPL victory.
Celebrations in the Arsenal camp, according to Sport 24, were conducted with subdued relief, as till last month, the club was in severe danger of missing out on the Champions League for the first time in 17 years after their defeat at Everton.
Arsenal players will now be looking to nail down places for the FA Cup final against Hull on May 17.
Giroud has cored 22 goals this season for the club. (ANI)
