Jaunpur, May 6: Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said only the Congress-ruled states have provided jobs to the youth of the country.
Gandhi said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and the Samajwadi Party had ruled Uttar Pradesh but they did not work for people.
“The biggest issue is jobs for youth. The BJP, the BSP and the Samajwadi (Party) have ruled here but you didn’t get jobs here. You get jobs in the Congress ruled states – Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka, Assam Haryana and Delhi,” said Rahul.
Referring to communal violence in Muzaffarnagar district, Gandhi said the opposition parties pit Hindus against Muslims for gaining political mileage.
“Why you don’t get jobs? Because the Uttar Pradesh Government is busy instigating and are driving you. Just six months before elections, violence breaks out in Muzaffarnagar. They pit Hindus against Muslims, and one caste against another,” he added. (ANI)
