New Delhi, May 1: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy on Thursday said that Congress leader Digvijay Singh should focus on his wedding plans rather than on BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
“Digvijay Singh should worry about his next wedding, he should focus on that and not on Modi, who is soon going to be the prime minister of the country,” said Swamy.
“The person he is intent on marrying still hasn’t got a divorce therefore he needs to deal with these issues first. He should go on a honeymoon,” he said.
Earlier in the day, Singh had said that he does not hide his relationship like Modi who had been hiding the truth about his marriage and added that the latter is a coward.
“I don’t hide my relationship, which Mr. Modi does. I am not a coward. My relationship is a private matter that I have made public,” said Singh.
“Modi is a coward as he has hidden his wife for years, but I have the courage and conviction to face the consequences for what I have said and done,” he added.
Yesterday, the Congress leader had tweeted that he had no hesitation in accepting his relationship with T.V journalist Amrita Rai.
“I have no hesitation in accepting my relationship with Amrita Rai. She and her husband have already filed a mutual consent divorce case and we will formalize the relationship once the divorce comes through,” tweeted Singh.
“Once that is decided we would formalise it. But I do condemn encroachment in our private life,” he added.
Later in the day, Rai had also accepted the same and had tweeted, “I have separated from my husband and we have filed a mutual consent divorce papers. After which I have decided to marry with Digvijay Singh.” (ANI)
