Mourinho’s assistant Rui Faria slammed with six-match stadium ban for ‘cheat’ outburst

London, May 2: Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho’s assistant Rui Faria has reportedly been banned for six matches from football stadiums by the Football Association (FA) for his outburst at the match referees during his side’s Premier League loss to Sunderland last month.

Faria, who was also fined 30,000 pounds after being found guilty of using abusive towards the fourth official, was found guilty of improper conduct after the referee asked him to leave the technical area and he also been warned about his future conduct.

According to the Mirror, the Portuguese, who was heard shouting ‘f***ing cheat’ as he headed down the tunnel, may not be back in the dug-out until September following his lengthy ban.

Faria has gained a reputation within the game of trying to wind up opposing benches, celebrating in the Chelsea technical area and getting into the ear of officials, the report added. (ANI)
