Rahul Gandhi getting clean chit from Election Commission an appropriate answer to all, says Salman Khurshid

New Delhi, May 10: External Affairs Minister, Salman Khurshid on Saturday stated that the Election Commission decision to give clean chit to Rahul Gandhi on voting secrecy issue is an answer to those who raised questions about it.

“If somebody has leveled allegations the EC has examine it based on that and has taken a decision. If a candidate wants to look into election arrangements they can do so and this is what had happened. Whatever was shown on television, no one can say this that he (Rahul Gandhi) was interfering in the voting process. The others who were raising questions on this have now got their answer,” Salman Khurshid said.

The Election Commission on Saturday gave a clean chit to Rahul Gandhi on the allegation that he had violated secrecy of voting by entering the enclosure of the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) in one of the polling booths in Amethi on 7 May. (ANI)
